We grow steadily and sustainably, prioritising long-term relationships with clients and staff. Our approach is cautious: low overheads, no bank loans, strong cash reserves, so, we’re always here when you need us.
Founded by Barry Poulton and Mike Nelson, Weald began with PCs and small networks for accounting systems. In 1998, our first engineer, Cenk Ozkan, joined – and remains an essential part of the team. Hazel Morris joined in 2006 and Tom Winchester in 2010; both have grown into leadership roles, with Hazel now Operations Director and Tom Sales Director.
Over the years, we’ve evolved with technology, from Novell and Linux to Microsoft Servers, always keeping security and reliability front of mind. Strategic acquisitions in 2006 (Making IT Work) and 2014 (g2 Support LLP) helped us grow to 16 staff and a £3 million turnover.
In 2025, Weald became employee-owned, ensuring a stable, values driven partner for clients and team. The Weald Trustee Company Limited oversees our Employee Ownership Trust, providing transparency, strong governance, and a secure future for everyone we serve.
