IT Support Pricing Changes from 1 January 2027
Weald IT will be making some changes to its ad-hoc IT support, engineering, PC installation and banked-hours pricing from 1 January 2027.
We are announcing the changes well in advance to give clients plenty of notice and allow time for planned work and future IT budgets to be considered.
Our standard ad-hoc support and engineering rates have remained unchanged since February 2023.
Since then, the costs of delivering a professional IT support service have continued to rise. The revised pricing will help us continue to invest in our helpdesk and engineering teams, training, systems and service delivery while maintaining the response times and technical expertise our clients expect.
Monthly helpdesk support remains unchanged
There will be no change at this time to our standard remote helpdesk agreement:
£14 per user, per month, with a minimum charge of £140 per month.
This remains our best-value option for businesses that need regular IT support and prefer predictable monthly costs. The existing service includes SLA-backed helpdesk support and remote assistance.
New hourly and engineer rates
From 1 January 2027, our standard helpdesk and network engineer rate will be:
£110 per hour, excluding VAT
Remote helpdesk work will continue to be charged in 15-minute units.
Please note that engineer call-outs are subject to a minimum one-hour charge.
£27.50 per 15 minutes
Our revised planned engineering rates will be:
| Service | Price excluding VAT |
|---|---|
| Network engineer – hourly | £110 |
| Network engineer – half day | £385 |
| Network engineer – full day | £750 |
| Senior network engineer – full day | £850 |
| Basic engineer for planned PC installations – full day | £625 |
Revised PC installation pricing
We are also introducing simpler pricing where several PCs are installed together as part of the same scheduled job.
| Number of PCs | Price per PC excluding VAT |
|---|---|
| One PC | £220 |
| Two PCs | £200 per PC |
| Three to five PCs | £180 per PC |
| Six or more PCs | Fixed-price project quotation |
Multi-PC pricing applies where the machines are prepared and installed together as part of the same planned job.
Larger deployments will be quoted individually so that we can take account of each client’s software, configuration, data-transfer and installation requirements.
New banked-hours packages
Our STAFF IT banked-hours service will remain available for organisations that prefer to purchase support time in advance and use it as required.
Banked hours are suitable for organisations with occasional or fluctuating support requirements and can be used for a mixture of remote and onsite work.
The revised packages will be:
| Package | Effective hourly rate | Price excluding VAT |
|---|---|---|
| 10 hours | £105.00 | £1,050.00 |
| 15 hours | £102.50 | £1,537.50 |
| 20 hours | £100.00 | £2,000.00 |
| 30 hours | £95.00 | £2,850.00 |
| 40 hours | £90.00 | £3,600.00 |
| 60 hours | £82.50 | £4,950.00 |
Any banked hours purchased before 1 January 2027 will remain available under the terms applying when they were purchased.
When will the changes take effect?
The revised prices will apply to work carried out and new banked-hours packages purchased from 1 January 2027.
All prices shown are in UK pounds and exclude VAT.
We remain committed to clear, transparent pricing and to providing reliable support from experienced technicians who understand our clients and their systems.
Clients with questions about the changes, or who would like to discuss the most appropriate support arrangement for their business, are welcome to contact us.
